I’ve had the best luck with MS’s Anti-spyware tool. I find that Spybot and Ad-aware either miss things, or can’t remove some things properlyy.

Interesting; from my initial test of it (though it was a few months ago), I found that it missed a couple things that Spybot found. Also I’ve been suspicious ever since the reports that Microsoft downgraded Claria’s (nee Gator) spyware threat level. But all that being said, I’ll give it a try again. When it comes to spyware, I believe a multi-pronged approach is the most effective. Thanks for the link!
