Google Down?

This is really creepy. When I start my browser (Firefox, of course), the first two tabs that load are my personalized Google start page (www.google.com/ig) and Gmail. Both are currently down (as is plain old google.com). I’m getting a timeout error on all of them right now, whereas 10 minutes ago I was at least getting a Google-generated error page for Gmail – I think it was a 350 error.

I don’t know if this is a localized phenomenon, but it sure feels like the internet is broken right now.

[UPDATE] Looks like it was only unavailable for a couple of hours. Still, weird.

  1. I didn’t pay much attention to it, but I too had problems reaching Google. Logically I did not think about problems at Google, but rather blamed someone closer to my PC for the time-outs. After all, the big ol’ Google can’t be down, can it?

  2. Yup!

All Google service are kaplut at the moment!

    Google Earth Gmail Orkut

What to do? Never realized that my Gmail account is the only account where I get the news…

    DAMN!

There were speculation going around about google sucking too much power for their digital farm…

… this can’t be happening… day of judgment is really really close…

Same problem here, have you heard anything from the news sources or blogs. I can not believe a major website is down for the bussy time of the year and nobody noticed it.
