Is there any chance others with eye twitches are also taking zyrtec (generic or otherwise)?

I forgot to take my daily dose yesterday and I just realized I have no twitch today which is rare!

Well, my experience with eye twitching has been associated with bad and good luck. Usually when my left eye twitches, it bad luck and something bad is going to happen to me or someone I know. The right eye twitching usually brings me good luck or others I know, especially after you were envy with green when something bad happened to them that shouldn't have. (you know who you are). Hey, but next time it happens take notes of good and bad things that occurred during the twitching. And for the person who won't about her Dr. giving her tea for $45.00 just use charomile tea.

Thank goodness for your eye twitch post and responses! Haha, what a crazy world. As for my story -- after trying everything I knew (no caffeine, more water, relax, take potassium and various vitamins...etc) -- I found your post and responses and it was somebody's advice to take a trip to the chiropracter that finally got me right. My whole right side was pinched up and out of whack. Stress started it, definitely, and the chiro helped end it. Eye twitch gone after session one, but I returned for a couple more just to make sure I stayed straight and narrow...! Good luck all!

I had the very same problem a few years ago. It got so bad that I finally went to they eye doctor and had him check it out. After a thorough examination, he basically said that the twitch was due to eyestrain. This made sense, considering that I was working 8-10 hours a day in front of a screen, and then going home to another 4-6 hours in front of another computer working on web sites.

He gave me a prescription for glasses with an extra anti-glare anti-reflective coating, (in addition to adjustments for my minor near-sightedness) and recommended taking more frequent breaks away from the screen, allowing my eyes to focus on something far in the distance for a few minutes to compensate for the intense amount of focus up close on the screen.

Five years after getting the glasses and using them infrequently, and paying better attention to my time in front of the PC (I take short five minute breaks every hour or two), I still have not had a recurrence of the eye twitch that was starting to seriously concern me those many years ago.

That's just my two cents. I hope it helps and that you find some relief.

My eye twitches have returned. Its the nerve under the right eye. I saw an acunpunctirist in Kensal Rise London, a few years ago when it happened. She put a silver ball on it after the session and it stopped that day for years.
I had acupuncture by Putney Bridge a month ago. She would not put anything under my eye and it did not stop until a few days later when I had been taking a tea she gave me twice a day. Its come back again a month later I took the tea and it stopped but its back and I can't afford the tea which is £45 for a weeks supply. I made it last longer by doing a couple of brews. if anyone knows where to get this tea for less that would be good.

J
I totally agree w/ your theory...I had the same thing develop about 6/7 years ago...(ironically, it was the same spring I foolishly decided to stop a hockey puck w/ my face, DR's ruled that out as cause lol)...I had wicked allergies in the spring as a kid too...my 'solution' to this has been stock up on Benadryl, and ironically, get lots of fresh air and exercise together w/ good sleep and less beer (boo)
