I see this with my son's house leage teams. When he was on a team with a good goalie, they were often close in score, but they still lost because they could not score very often. Now he's on a team where the goalie is really weak, but if he only sees the puck near him 5 times during an entire game, he only needs to stop the puck those 5 times. The other goalie can count on seeing the puck 25 times! Agreed. I see this with my son’s house leage teams. At the very least there are now mediocre goalies in beer-leagues across the country thinking, "Hey! Yeah, I'm here to make sure we get ranked at the appropriate level." You might have a point there.
