I Can See Clearly Now
I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of my bad feelings have disappeared,
There is the rainbow I’ve been praying for
It’s gonna be a bright, it’s gonna be bright, sun-shiny day
Look all around, nothing but blue sky
Look straight ahead, nothing but blue… sky
I can see clearly now, the rain is gone
I can see all obstacles in my way,
Gone is the dark cloud that had me blind,
It’s gonna be a bright, it’s gonna be bright, sun-shiny day

hey slide master,
thanks for the comment. yup I’m juiced about the new sound. I met you brother in law on Sat. at my show. it was cool to meet him.
I love this Johnny Nash song. In fact the whole Johnny Nash album this came off of was great. he was an american soul singing but he went down to Jamaica to record this album. I think in the 60’s. It was before reggae was popular in america and he got all the cats who went on to work with Bob Marley to record on the album . he even covers a bob Marley tune. wicked sounds.
take care pal.. I’ll see if I can remember that Ray-gun song.

Hey, I’m interested in this song. I’m interested in a particular recording of it that is featured on a TV commercial about a car. Can you tell me about some recent recordings of the song?

The version I’m most familiar with is from about 10 years ago. It the Holly Cole Trio, a Canadian jazz group featuring Holly Cole singing, and piano and upright bass accompanying her. The album is called “Don’t Smoke in Bed”: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000005HBB/102-8242910-3449738?v=glance&n=5174
Maybe that’s the one you’re looking for?

I don’t know if it is the one I’m looking for, but I’ll check it out and let you know. Thanks so much for your generosity with your knowledge.

I too have been looking around to find a recording of the song I heard on the radio once. It was a male singer accompanied by the piano. I thought the announcer said it was a Johnny Nash recording and the album was called “One true love” but I must have mis-heard, because I can’t seem to locate it. It was brilliant and I wish I could locate it. If this rings a bell with anyone, I’d be grateful.
