Wireless Frustrations

I’m ready to throw this laptop out the proverbial window. NorthernVoice is providing free wifi on UBC’s network, yet my computer (maybe it’s my wireless card) refuses to acquire an IP address. I’m watching everyone else online, and can’t get there from here. I suppose I could just listen to the sessions, but c’mon already!

[Update] Okay, for no good reason, my computer decided to connect.

I feel like saying, “Tina come get the FOOD! FOOD!” Except in this case it would be “Tina, get the IP! IP!” GOSH!

Hahaha – thanks Ryan, you just made me laugh out loud in a session!

I had the same problem at SFU for months on end. Eventually, I received an email; SFU’s wireless capacity was getting overloaded because they were in the middle of upgrading several the whole system.

Maybe there were too many bloggers at Northern Voice this year? :)

Yeah, unfortunately I think that’s exactly what happened. Oh well.
