About Me
As you’ve gathered, my name is Jason Clarke and this is my site. I’m a long-time technologist, currently working as the Manager of Technical Services for a software company that I won’t name here, only because this is a relatively old site and I’m not 100% certain that I’m comfortable associating my company’s name with all of the content here. I’m almost sure there’s nothing terrible lurking in my archives, but can’t say that I’m 100% sure that I haven’t said something really dumb here at some time or another.
I’m definitely not a programmer but I’ve done everything but that in previous roles, including software support, testing, implementations, marketing and project management, all for enterprise-class software packages. I’ve also been writing professionally about software for AOL / Weblogs Inc. at Download Squad for the past two years. All of that was to try to impress you with my vast knowledge of computery things. Did it work? I didn’t think so.
In the past I’ve tended to write here about technology, and sometimes hockey. Most of my tech-related posts now end up on Download Squad, and my hockey musings are supposed to be over at Beer League Hockey or Cuppa Joe Grinders (my hockey team’s site). In recent times this blog has turned into nothing more than random stuff that entertains me, but I do plan to bring back with some more relevant and thoughtful posts. That’s the plan anyway.
I’m happily married, and a proud father of two young boys.
